Intrepid adds new Europe adventures

Intrepid Travel is introducing 32 new trips across 15 countries in Europe from May next year, with new alpine hikes, local-led experiences and cultural journeys through lesser-known cities.

Two new destinations will be introduced to Intrepid’s programme:

  • A five-day trip of the Faroe Islands – guests explore coastal villages, hike sea cliffs, visit farms, and enjoy home-cooked meals.
  • Six days hiking in Madeira – The hike includes views of the island’s volcanic landscapes and beaches. Taste local produce and fresh seafood and visit a traditional winery.

Other highlights include:

  • A nine-day rail journey through northern Norway and Sweden, travelling through Abisko National Park and stopping at remote villages and outposts.
  • Hike, bike and kayak in Norway for seven days, cycling around Lake Lovatnet, hiking to Briksdal Glacier and kayaking Nærøyfjord.
  • An eight-day hike in the Albanian Alps, hiking the Volusnica Ridge and crossing Montenegro’s Prokletije National Park into Albania’s Theth village on foot.
  • A seven-day hike, bike and raft in Croatia and Montenegro, kayaking around the Elaphiti Islands and exploring the mountains of Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park.
