Kenya Airways has partnered with Sabre and Branchspace to launch a new platform that the airline says will offer more personalised fares and ancillary options, easier trip bundling, a smoother digital booking experience and faster airport check-in.
Customers and members of the Asante Rewards programme will also have access to expanded self-service tools, changes to the rewards experience and real-time rebooking during disruptions.
Sabre will replace the core reservations and ticketing platform that has run the airline’s bookings, inventory and airport check-in for more than two decades. The airline has appointed travel technology and consulting firm, Branchspace, to build the digital commerce layer customers will interact with directly.
The move aligns Kenya Airways with IATA’s New Distribution Capability standards. Sabre’s modular technology will allow the airline to introduce the changes in stages.
