LAX terminal upgrades under way

Demolition has officially started on Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for the first phase of construction on the $1,86bn (R26bn) Delta Sky Project.

An event held in the terminal included a ceremonial wall demolition to mark the milestone in the project that will modernise, upgrade and connect Terminals 2, 3 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B).

Los Angeles World Airports has partnered with Delta Air Lines to build the new terminals and plans to integrate new technology and passenger amenities to LAX.
