The Lufthansa Group has signed a new distribution agreement with Amadeus that includes the distribution of the carrier’s NDC content.
The partners are working to integrate the airline’s NDC offers into the Amadeus Travel Platform, targeting a gradual global roll-out in the fourth quarter of this year. The roll-out will commence in selected European markets, and will enable shopping, booking, payment, and servicing that is fully integrated into the Amadeus ecosystem.
From Q4, LH Group airlines’ NDC-sourced content will be available via the Amadeus NDC-enabled interfaces, which includes Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, Amadeus Travel API and Cytric Travel & Expense.
NDC offers from Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Eurowings Discover will be available, including continuous pricing and a wide range of ancillary services.
Beyond NDC offers, travel sellers will continue having access to LH Group airlines’ content through existing EDIFACT technology (EDIFACT is the term for optimised and standardised data that flows between two businesses).
