Lufthansa launches group booking tool

THE Lufthansa Group – Lufthansa,

SWISS and Austrian Airlines –

has launched Book-a-Group, an

integrated tool that enables travel

agents to manage group bookings

independently.

Groups of 10 can get quotes in

real-time for different Lufthansa

Group airline flight combinations

like SWISS, Eurowings, brussels

airlines and other Lufthansa

partner airlines. Groups can

consist of private individuals,

business travellers or tourists.

Lufthansa spokesperson, Greg

Forbes, says the tool is designed

to increase flexibility and save

agents time. It simplifies the

booking process for groups and

gives agents access to all booking

data at any time.

One notable feature of the tool

is the short-term booking, which

allows travellers to cancel bookings

at no charge if the cancellation

is done within 72 hours of the

booking and 60 days of the actual

flight, says Greg.
