Passengers can book either a nurse, a paramedic or a doctor to care for them during their entire flight.
The medical companion programme offers different packages and, depending on their needs, customers can book medical supervision or wound management.
Lufthansa has also equipped all long-haul aircraft with a mobile ECG in case of on-board medical emergencies.
The compact system allows flight attendants to record an ECG for passengers and send the results directly to a medical hotline on the ground to determine whether to divert an aircraft to provide medical care on the ground.
