Marriott International plans to open more than 30 luxury properties worldwide in 2020.
There are more than 185 luxury properties in its signed development pipeline that could add more than 15 new countries to its luxury portfolio, from Iceland to Montenegro and the Philippines.
During next year an average of three new hotels a month are planned.
- The Ritz-Carlton will debut in Morocco, expand in Japan, Mexico City and China, and grow the brand’s resort portfolio in Arizona.
- St. Regis properties are planned in Venice, Cairo, Dubai and resort in Mexico.
- W Hotels will open in Philadelphia, Toronto, Chengdu and Melbourne, with a debut in Milan and Rome.
- The Luxury Collection anticipates openings in Nashville and Budapest, as well as Hobart.
- JW Marriott US openings include Savannah, Orlando and Anaheim. Global destinations range from Istanbul and Danang, Vietnam; to Nara, Japan; Muscat, Oman; and Monterrey, Mexico.
