After temporarily closing due to Cyclone Belal, which caused a great deal of damage on the island, SSR International Airport in Mauritius has now reopened, with flights slowly resuming, reports the Airports of Mauritius Co Ltd (AML).
“In order to ensure a smooth resumption, access to the check-in hall of the terminal will be temporarily restricted to departing passengers,” said AML in its latest statement.
Air Mauritius has provided an updated list of rescheduled flights on its website, and SAA has said that customers from the cancelled flights will be accommodated on additional flights SA4192/SA3193 and SA190/SA191.
Weather conditions are currently being closely monitored to ensure the safety of travellers and civilians.
