Mauritius is considering launching an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) platform as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the tourism experience.
Speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebration of Constance Hotels and Resorts, Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam said the island planned to introduce a digital recognition system and a new ETA platform to eliminate queues for tourists.
However, further details and timeframes have not been revealed yet and it is unclear if the new requirements will apply to visa-exempt countries.
