Air Mauritius has updated its power bank policy following recent industry developments relating to onboard incidents.
From September 1, the following guidelines will apply on all Air Mauritius flights:
- Passengers may carry one power bank with a capacity not exceeding 100Wh. The capacity rating must be clearly visible on the device.
- Power banks are prohibited in checked-in baggage.
- During the flight, power banks must be stored in bags placed under the seat or in the seat pocket.
- Power banks should not be stored in the overhead compartments.
- Power banks must not be used to charge personal devices during the flight.
- Charging power banks using the aircraft’s power supply is not permitted.
