Japan will operate Super Mario-themed trains in the Kyushu region until June 30 as part of a collaboration between Nintendo’s Super Mario and Japan Rail Kyushu.
Two Shinkansen trains and one limited express train will feature Super Mario-themed liveries with 22 Super Mario stations featuring special decorations across the region. Eight stations in particular (Hakata, Kokura, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Kagoshima Chuo and Miyazaki) will feature special Super Mario photo panels.
The collaboration will also include station takeovers and pop-up stores.
