MORE closes one door and opens others

The MORE Family Collection has announced the closure of the More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel in Cape Town from May 2. The group will focus instead on enhancing the nearby Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel.

Since 2009, the More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel has provided a blend of luxury accommodation and independent apartment living within Cape Town’s lively Kloof Street neighbourhood. Despite positive guest feedback, the concept did not attract sustainable support, according to MORE Family Collection Curator and Chief Executive Officer Robert More.

“We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received over the years and for the guests who embraced the unique neighbourhood living experience. However, it is with a heavy heart that we’ve made the difficult decision to close More Quarters,” he said.

In response to growing demand for the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel, the MORE Family Collection will introduce the new Cape Cadogan Stable Suites on May 3. These 10 suites will be in a historic building along a quiet cobbled street behind the Cape Cadogan.

The Stable Suites will include interleading options, triple suites and two-bedroom configurations catering to families and guests seeking large, private living spaces. Additionally, the More Quarters Residence will be transformed into the exclusive-use Cape Cadogan Residence.

Bookings at More Quarters Neighbourhood Hotel after the closure date will be upgraded to the new Cape Cadogan Stable Suites.
