Minors travelling without their parents to Argentina will need authorisation from their legal guardians and a copy of their unabridged birth certificate to enter the country (an unabridged birth certificate is more detailed).
Previously only a copy of a birth certificate was needed along with legal guardian authorisation. A Minors Authority Form must be signed by both of the legal guardians in front of a Commissioner of Oaths or a police officer.
The form can be obtained from the Argentinian Embassy or downloaded from the Embassy webpage.
South Africans do not need a visa to enter Argentina for tourist purposes as long as they have a ticket to depart the country within three months and proof of funds to pay for travel expenses.
