Movement at the 'Desert'

26 Apr 2000 - by Dave Marsh

THE owners of Desert and Delta Safaris will be taking over the marketing and reservations of all wildlife products to Botswana, following Afro Ventures Botswana merger with CCAfrica earlier this month.
To accommodate this, the range of lodges has been expanded to complement three existing lodges, namely Camp Moremi, Camp Okavango and Savute Island Lodge.
The additions to the product will be the Xugana Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta, Tsaro Elephant Lodge on the Kwai River, Chobe Game Lodge in the Chobe National Park and the Chobe Savanna Lodge on the Chobe River.
The company has also undertaken to keep the current rates at the lodges until December 2001.
Desert and Delta's Johannesburg branch moved their premises to Knightsbridge manor in Sloane Street, Bryanston last week and marketing and reservations will, in future, be handled from there.
New contact numbers are as follows: Central reservations phone +27 11 706-0861, Fax +27 11 706-0863.
