MSC Cruises has announced that, from April 2019, MSC Fantasia will offer Naples as one of the main highlights of its itinerary.
Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises’ ceo comments: “We have enriched the itinerary for MSC Fantasia for the 2019 European summer in response to the growing popularity of southern Italy. This is the first time we have planned for a ship to be in Naples for a full day each week for the whole season. By arriving in the morning, we will give our guests time to go on full-day excursions and immerse themselves in the culture and beauty of this region.”
The cruise ship will sail past Capri and visit Sorrento and Pompeii. MSC Cruises also offers a full-day excursion to the seaside town of Amalfi and the nearby village of Ravello – both Unesco World Heritage Sites.
Other Italian ports on the itinerary include Livorno, Florence, Pisa, Genoa, Marseille, Lyon, Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza.
MSC Fantasia caters especially for families and offers sports and entertainment facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, a mini-golf course, a jogging track and gym to an aqua park complex, Formula 1 simulator and 4D cinema. There is also a spa.
MSC Fantasia’s on-board dining provides a range of Mediterranean and international cuisines with a mix of formal and more casual dining venues.
The cruise also offers a luxury experience, the MSC Yacht Club, for guests who desire exclusivity and privacy. The Club is an innovative ‘ship within a ship’ design concept, as it offers a self-contained area on the foredecks of the ship, providing sea views with a range of private facilities that include a pool, solarium and restaurant.
