MSC extends fleet-wide halt

MSC Cruises has announced an extension to the halting of all its cruise departures until July 10. The company previously announced the temporary halting of all cruises up to May 29.

The cruise company says it is offering guests affected a Future Cruise Credit (FCC), where they have the opportunity to transfer the full amount paid for their cancelled cruise to a future cruise of their choice – for any itinerary on any ship – up to the end of 2021. Affected guests will also receive a credit of between €100 (R1 986) and €400 (R7 933) per cabin, depending on the length of their original cruise.

In addition, all guests who are currently booked with MSC Cruises between July 11 and September 30, including those booked through travel agents, will now be covered under an extension of MSC’s Flexible Cruise Programme. They will be able to reschedule their cruise to a future departure date up to December 21, 2021 at no cost, on any ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, on any itinerary.
