Oceania debuts new culinary concepts on Sonata

Oceania Cruises’ new ship, Oceania Sonata, launching in August 2027, will feature two brand-new culinary concepts – La Table and Nikkei Kitchen.

According to Oceania Cruises, La Table will be the only restaurant at sea approved Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (a global institution dedicated to the French culinary arts).

La Table will seat 18 guests and will be a nightly reservations-only wine-pairing experience featuring a rotation of menus created by renowned chefs. The restaurant will also be the venue for the return of the Dom Pérignon Experience, a six-course tasting menu paired with Champagne.

Nikkei Kitchen will blend Peruvian ingredients and Japanese techniques. It will be a capacity-controlled experience that is part of the line’s always-included specialty dining options, available on a first-come basis with no reservations required.

Oceania Sonata will also feature 10 familiar culinary experiences, including the Grand Dining Room; Jacques, the line’s French restaurant; pan-Asian Red Ginger; Polo Grill steakhouse; and Toscana, serving Italian specialities.

Oceania Cruises is represented by Cruises International in the South African market.
