Oceania Cruises will operate what it says is the cruise industry's first entirely gluten-free ocean voyage on Oceania Vista in 2028.
The 12-night sailing will depart Southampton on May 31, 2028, on a roundtrip itinerary visiting England, Ireland and Scotland. Ports of call will include Cork (Cobh), Dublin (Dún Laoghaire), Glasgow (Greenock), Stornoway in the Hebrides and Edinburgh (Newhaven).
All onboard dining venues will offer entirely gluten-free menus for the duration of the voyage. This will include speciality restaurants Toscana, Polo Grill, Red Ginger and Jacques, as well as Aquamar Kitchen and Waves Grill. Afternoon tea, in-suite dining and pastries from The Bakery will also be gluten-free.
The voyage is being developed in collaboration with Celiac Cruise, which specialises in travel for people with celiac disease and those following gluten-free diets.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, said the voyage would allow the culinary team to reimagine the line's dining programme through an entirely gluten-free approach while maintaining the variety and quality of its usual offering.
