Peter parts ways with City

PETER
Schoeman,
divisional
director of sales
and marketing
director at City
Lodge Hotels is
taking an early
retirement after
more than 20
years at the
group.
When he leaves in
December, Peter plans
to move to the
Western Cape
and take a
three- to sixmonth
sabbatical.
“I’m really into
photography and
after my break,
I’m considering
one of two
opportunities to
lead photographic
safaris in Southern Africa.”
Peter is also mulling
over starting an online
marketing business.
Peter started his career at
the group when City Lodge
took over the Courtyard
group – at the time he
was gm at The Courtyard
at Rosebank. In 1997 he
became the group’s sales
and marketing manager;
shortly afterwards, he was
promoted to his current
designation with a position
on the group’s exco.
