Lufthansa celebrated 54 years of flying to Johannesburg on March 3
at The Tin Factory in Kramerville. The event saw 200 attendees –
including trade partners, celebrities and the German Ambassador,
Walter Lindner. The airline presented former Miss South Africa, Jo-Ann
Strauss, as the new ‘Face of Lufthansa South Africa’. Jo-Ann, whose
husband is German, is fluent in German and Xhosa and was chosen as
the airline’s brand ambassador to signal the coming together of the
two countries and their cultures. Pictured at the event are Lufthansa
