Redesign for Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! CT
PROTEA Hotel Fire & Ice! Cape Town is refurbishing the reception
area, bar, lounge, restaurant, Coughin’ Room, Bree Street deck, New
Church Street deck and the lift lobby. The new look will be revealed
on September 1. The hotel remains open for business, with noise
limited to weekday working hours to avoid disturbing guests.
Wilderness launches new camp in Botswana
WILDERNESS Explorations, the guided journey division of Wilderness
Safaris, has opened Gomoti Tented Camp in the community-owned
Santawani Concession in the Okavango. The main area includes
a thatched dining room and lounge. The camp accommodates up
to eight guests in five canvas tents, each of which has an en-suite
toilet and shower. Exploration guides are also available to take
guests on day and night drives to view wildlife.
Namaqua adds another luxury camp
CHIEFS Luxury Mobile Safari Camps has expanded into the
Namaqua National Park, Northern Cape, with the addition of
the Namaqua Flower Skilpad Camp. The new camp will offer
accommodation on a ‘bed ‘n beskuit’ basis, providing guests with
coffee and rusks. The camp is ideal for guests travelling from Cape
Town to Namibia as it is near the N7.
