Premier Hotels has started to open selected hotels and booking channels for all hotels into 2021, according to a press release.

Premier Splendid Inn Bloemfontein and Premier Hotel Mapungubwe are open. Premier Hotel ELICC and Premier Hotel Regent will reopen on June 7.  Further hotels opening in July will be:

  • Premier Hotel OR Tambo
  • Premier Hotel Midrand
  • Premier Splendid Inn Pinetown
  • Premier Hotel The Richards
  • Premier Splendid Inn Bayshore

The hotels will open in a phased approach with selected services and new Premier CleanCheck protocols in place. These involve cleanliness, sanitisation, preventative measures, staff training, and guest education on arrival, and protocols adhering to new health and safety best practice standards to maintain social distancing, strict sanitisation methods and the use of PPE protocols at all hotels.

Mark Jakins, group marketing and sales director, said all Premier’s other hotels and resorts around South Africa were able to reopen at very short notice.  “We are monitoring enquiries and business demand from essential services and business travellers in each node we are operating in, and for the benefit of all our loyal guests and travel clients, we are always updating our website with the latest information. All booking channels are also open for our hotels, with provisional dates for hotel openings.”
