QANTAS is pursuing its relationship development with Air New Zealand despite negative draft determinations by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the New Zealand Commerce Commission (NZCC).
After reviewing the draft determinations, Qantas ceo Geoff Dixon commented that the NZCC and ACCC were out of touch.
“It is surely in the national interest for both New Zealand and Australia to have viable and competitive airline systems. This will not be advanced by competition authorities ignoring the realities of the world.”
