In our latest poll in Travel News, we asked readers the question: In your opinion, which of the following will put travellers off international travel?
Our poll garnered 768 responses. 284 readers (37%) believe that for South Africans considering taking an international trip, the fear of having to unexpectedly quarantine on arrival at a destination is the biggest deterrent.
34% of respondents said fear of a lockdown was a deterrent - two-thirds of these said being caught in lockdown in a foreign country was their clients’ fear, while one-third said a lockdown in South Africa keeping their clients from returning home was the event most feared.
