RCI ship drops Japan calls

Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas, which homeports in Shanghai, China, is removing visits to Japan from its itineraries between January and April this year.

The cruise line sent notices to passengers booked on at least 14 voyages departing from Shanghai, informing them that their calls to Okinawa, Ishigaki, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Kagoshima and Fukoka, Japan, will be replaced with calls to Seoul, Busan and Jeju, South Korea.

"We're excited to bring you this refreshed experience and appreciate your understanding, as itinerary planning is an ongoing process that requires cruisers to have a certain level of flexibility," said the notice.
