A new ‘discoverable’ platform for the global travel market launches today. Ukiyo Live is described by owner, Touchdown Travel Tech, as one in which the booking engine meets social media, via content.

The company describes Ukiyo Live as a unique and revolutionary concept that breaks through the clutter, allowing users to engage with live content that’s then directly linked to a booking opportunity. The live content is updated by the property on to the back-end of Ukiyo ongoingly and every post offers the reader the opportunity to ‘Discover’, therewith leading them into a real-time booking opportunity.

Through a carefully curated infrastructure of social and digital media that is linked to each piece of content, Ukiyo Live brings significant data to the industry that will allow for dynamic consumer travel behaviour. The company claims that this platform is the first of its kind where booking engine meets social media via content.

“We’re thrilled to announce the formal launch of Ukiyo Live,” says Richard de La Rey, ceo of Ukiyo Live. “When brands such as Red Carnation, Shangri-La, and Singita sign up, we know we’re on to a winning streak.”

Ukiyo Live includes over 1 000 international establishments.

Touchdown Travel Tech is an integrated tourism technology solution business.
