South Africa and Estonia have signed a visa-waiver agreement that will allow citizens of both countries visa-free access of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
The agreement is the result of diplomatic engagements between Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, and South Africa’s Minister of Home Affairs, Leon Schreiber, to strengthen cooperation.
The Estonian Ambassador to South Africa, Daniel Schaer, said it would simplify travel for tourists and entrepreneurs, fostering a closer economic and cultural exchange. According to Schaer, Estonia has emerged as a key player in digital innovation, offering great opportunities for South African start-ups and technology firms.
