SA operator makes 'world's best' list

SOUTHERN African tour operator, Safari Tracks, in conjunction with Steve Currey Expeditions, will be featured in top international magazine National Geographic's Top 25 Expeditions in the World in its November 2000 edition.
According to Safari Tracks' John Hill, the eight-day June 2001 Solar Eclipse Expedition to destinations in Zambia and Botswana is the only Southern African
tour featured on the list.
He says the expedition - which can accommodate 16 people - will start at Livingstone, Zambia and then fly to the upper Kafue river for an eight-day river trip which incorporates wildlife viewing, visits to local villages and, of course, the viewing of a total solar eclipse.
"Back through Livingstone, the expedition will move on to northern Botswana to Kwando which includes game tracking, fishing and water activities."
A medical doctor will be present on the expedition and Hill says if there is enough interest, Safari Tracks may run two groups a day apart from each other.
