SAA has adjusted the schedule for the launch of its flights between Johannesburg and Perth, starting on April 28.

In response to customer feedback, the airline said return flight SA281 from Perth to Johannesburg would depart at 23h50 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays instead of 14h40. The flight will now arrive in Johannesburg at 04h45 the following day.

Flight SA280 from Johannesburg to Perth will remain at the same scheduled times, departing from Johannesburg at 20h55 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and arriving in Perth at 12h20 the following day.

The change was made to allow passengers to benefit from an overnight flight for better rest as well as easier domestic and regional connections upon arrival in Johannesburg. Customers who are already booked for the earlier departure time will be accommodated on the later flight.

“We are thrilled to introduce this enhancement to our flight schedule, which directly addresses feedback and preferences from our customers,” said Tebogo Tsimane, Chief Commercial Officer of SAA.
