SAA will receive the first of
its five new Airbus A330-
300s in November.
SAA spokesperson,
Tlali Tlali, told TNW:
“The aircraft, which will
be acquired as part of
the airline’s fleet renewal
programme, will be used
on some of our existing
routes in order for us to
maximise their operating
efficiencies.”
An industry insider told
TNW the new aircraft would
be deployed on the daily
Johannesburg-Lagos route,
and on selected flights to
São Paulo, Munich and
Washington (all departing
Johannesburg).
“The aircraft will feature
46 seats in business class
and 203 seats in economy
class,” the insider says.
