Silversea delays hotel opening

Silversea Cruises has delayed the opening of its hotel in Puerto Williams in Chile until October next year.

The Cormorant at 55 South is being built for Silversea’s Antarctica guests with fly-cruise packages and was scheduled to open in January.

Silversea did not give a reason for the delay but according to Travel Weekly, the cruise line is still completing the final touches to the project.

The hotel features 150 rooms either overlooking the forest or the Beagle Channel.

Silversea is represented by Cruise Vacations in the South African market.
