Skytrax has released a list of the top 10 African airlines for 2022 announced in London by review and rating company Skytrax.
1.Ethiopian Airlines:
Ethiopian Airlines ranked number 1 in Africa for the second time in two years and 37th among the world’s top 100 airlines.
2. Royal Air Maroc:
RAM was named the Best Regional Airline in Africa.
3. South African Airways
SAA has slipped 12 places down in the global ranking into position 79, but only re-started its flights in Sept 2021.
4. Kenya Airways:
KQ took position 81 in this year’s international ranking.
5. Air Mauritius:
Air Mauritius came fifth in Africa after receiving two distinctions at the 2017 awards.
6. EgyptAir:
EgyptAir has advanced 26 places in the global ranking.
7. RwandAir:
Rwanda’s flag carrier was awarded Best Airline Staff in Africa for the second year in a row.
8. FlySafair:
FlySafair was named the Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa for the second year running.
9. Fastjet:
Fastjet, which operates primarily in Zimbabwe, was rated second on the Best Low-Cost Airlines in Africa list.
10. Air Seychelles:
Seychelles’ national airline ranked 10th on the Best Airline Staff in Africa list.
