Agents have reported receiving small ADMs from SAA in relation to incorrect collection of YQ taxes on SAA ticket reissues processed through Amadeus and Travelport.
According to a Bryanston-based agent, a glitch resulted in the incorrect calculation of YQ tax amounts for SAA ticket reissues. This has resulted in a spurt of small ADMs being issued by SAA.
The agent advises that while this has been rectified for reissues going forward, they are still waiting for a response on whether the existing ADMs will stand or if they will be refunded.
However, Amadeus advised that it guarantees reissues through Amadeus Ticket Changer for all registered airlines loading fares on ATPCO Category 31 standard. SAA is a Cat31 Airline.
“ADMs with these conditions will be handled by Amadeus according to procedure and will be disputed with the airline,” the GDS confirmed.
Agents that have received ADMs for the incorrect calculation of YQ tax amounts should refer queries to Amadeus.
