TAAG Angola doubles Lisbon flights

TAAG Angola Airlines says it will provide greater options for passengers while following market demand by adding a new frequency on the Luanda-Lisbon route, effective March 28, making the service double daily.

The Luanda-Lisbon connection is one of the most consolidated routes within TAAG´s operation. Portugal is a key destination and the gateway to Europe for passengers, including tourists, families, and the corporate segment from Angola, Africa, and South America, while Angola is a relevant hub for traffic from Portugal or to redirect to multiple TAAG destinations in the Southern hemisphere.

During January and February this year, TAAG transported 39 306 passengers on the Luanda-Lisbon route, meaning the company was able to double the figures from the same period last year when 18 798 passengers were carried.

In 2022, the airline registered a 72,3% load factor on the route, saying this was a positive achievement within aviation.
