Turkish Airlines has announced that it will launch two seasonal
weekly flights between Lusaka and Istanbul starting December 13.
The Lusaka route will be serviced via Dar-es –Salaam with flight arrivals on
Mondays and Thursdays while departures from Lusaka will be on Tuesdays and
Fridays, according to Lusaka Times.
Inaugural flight TK609 will depart Istanbul at 19h40 and
arrive in Lusaka at 03h00 the next day. This route will be serviced until March
28, 2019. Flight TK609 will depart Lusaka at 04h30 and arrive in Dar-es-Salaam
at 08h05. Return flight TK609 will then depart Dar-es-Salaam at 09h35 and
arrive in Istanbul at 16h40. This service ends on March 29, 2019.
Flight TK601 departs Istanbul at 19h40 and arrives in Dar-es-Salaam at 02h45 the following day. This route will be serviced until March 25, 2019. Flight TK601 will depart Dar-es-Salaam at 04h15 and arrive in Lusaka at 05h50. Return flight TK601 will then depart Lusaka at 07h20 and arrive in Istanbul at 16h45. This service ends on March 26, 2019.
