ONE of South Africa's top golf professionals, Chris Davison, joined Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate in George this month, on April 1.
In addition to his regular duties, Davison will become Fancourt's playing tournament pro.
A third championship golf course, The Links at Fancourt, is currently under construction and will be open to the public on completion towards year end.
Designed by Gary Player Design Company, the US$5m (R33m) course will conform to the definition of a links in that it will be dune-like and planted with cool season grasses.
Fancourt's Golf School is also presently being extended from a four-hole to a nine-hole golf course, which will be available for play next year.
