TTC backs sustainable tourism

THE Travel Corporation
has announced its
Diamond Sponsorship
for the UN International
Year of Sustainable
Tourism for Development
2017, in partnership
with UNWTO. The project
supports changes that
contribute to sustainable
development goals in the
tourism sector. TTC and
its non-profit foundation,
TreadRight Foundation,
which encourages tourism
development, has supported
more than 40 sustainability
projects in almost as many
destinations globally. “We
were eager and honoured to
support the UNWTO in this
latest initiative because we
recognise that our sector has
a tremendous opportunity
and responsibility to drive
sustainable development
around the world,” says
Brett Tollman, chief
executive of TTC.
