Turkey restricts e-SIMs

Yesterday
Comments | 0

Turkey has blocked access to 36 foreign digital e-SIM providers to encourage tourists to use domestic telecommunications providers.

Among the restricted providers are well-known international brands such as Saily, Airalo, Holafly and Nomad.

Travellers can download and activate certain eSIMs before they travel to Turkey and the technology will work normally. To activate an eSIM in the country now, travellers will require a VPN and will need to have downloaded the eSIM in advance.
