Despite Indonesia announcing visa-free travel for South Africans last month, the measure will only be put in place once the proper procedures have been implemented.
During a forum in November, Indonesia Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka announced a new reciprocal visa-free policy for Indonesians and South Africans.
However, the policy has not yet been implemented and South Africans should still follow current application procedures by applying for the e-visa on arrival (E-VOA).
