Wellington Airport has released its plans for upgrades, pending approval on November 17.
Work includes a terminal expansion, runway and taxiway system improvements, new freight facilities, additional aircraft parking stands and a fire station.
A new multi-purpose domestic and international terminal will extend the development to the south of the existing terminal and the areas will be repurposed for jet aircraft. The northern parts of the terminal will be converted for regional traffic.
