Zambia Airways mandates return tickets for JNB flights

Zambia Airways has issued a directive requiring passengers on flights to Johannesburg to hold valid return or onward tickets before departure.

The new mandatory travel requirement, which took effect on October 14, is being strictly enforced at check-in.

Passengers without proof of a return or onward ticket are required to sign an indemnity form confirming their ability to purchase a return ticket if denied entry by South African immigration. They must also accept full responsibility for any costs incurred as a result.

According to the airline, the directive follows an increase in the number of inadmissible passengers being turned away at OR Tambo International Airport.
