Zimbabwe has removed all its remaining COVID-related regulations.
From May 9, travellers no longer have to provide a vaccination certificate to enter the country.
The requirement to wear a facemask indoors has also been removed.
These changes come in response to the World Health Organization’s recent declaration that COVID no longer poses a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
According to iHarare, the announcement was made by Minister Monica Mutsvangwa at a media briefing, where the government’s strategic shift toward long-term management of the pandemic was highlighted. This includes the continuation of vaccination activities in all provinces across the country.
