Munich Airport and SAA recently hosted a workshop for Cape Town travel agents
focusing on Germany’s Bavaria region. Anna Bereznichenko, marketing manager of
Munich Airport, said passenger arrivals from South Africa had increased by 4% in 2013.
She said more than half had caught connecting flights to other destinations in Germany
as well as Italy, the UK and France among others. Anna said Munich was a popular transit
hub because of its minimum connecting time of 30 minutes. Exhibitor, Deutsche Bahn,
appealed to agents interested in becoming DB agents to make contact as the railway was
looking for strong partners to sell its products. Pictured here (from left) with Anna are
Denise Kotze (SAA) and Caron Crocker (Club Travel).
