Air France expands train routes

Air France and SNCF French Railways have added eight new routes.

Air France’s ‘Train + Air’ trips provide travellers with an online multimodal reservation for their journey. The service guarantees seats on the next available flight or train, free of charge if there are delays.

Train + Air trips are available for travel between a station in Metropolitan France and an international destination (including flights to Overseas France), where the connection is less than 24 hours.

The passenger must have an e-ticket before commencing the journey – SNCF terminals are available at the station.

Previously Train + Air offered 33 routes to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports via Massy TGV station.

The new routes are:

*Between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports and Aix-en-Provence, Arras, Laval and Lille Flandres.

* Between Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and Perpignan.

The extension of the network increases the total number of routes offered by Air France to 41 departing from 22 train stations, including Aix-en-Provence TGV, Angers Saint-Laud, Arras, Avignon TGV, Bordeaux Saint-Jean, Champagne-Ardenne TGV, Le Mans, Laval, Lille Europe, Lille Flandres, Lorraine TGV, Lyon Part-Dieu, Marseille Saint-Charles, Montpellier Saint-Roch, Nantes, Nîmes, Perpignan, Poitiers, Rennes, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Strasbourg and Valence TGV.

Air France passengers travelling in La Première or Business cabins will travel in first class on SNCF trains.

In addition to the French network, Air France and KLM offer a combined ticket service on routes departing from Brussels-Midi station to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Amsterdam Schiphol and Antwerp-Central to Amsterdam Schiphol.
