Uganda Airlines has restored its long-haul capacity following the return to service of the last of two Airbus A330-800neos grounded in February for unscheduled maintenance.
The aircraft operated its first flight back on April 17 to Dubai, while services to London and Mumbai resumed last month.
ET orders six new Dreamliners
Ethiopian Airlines has finalised an order with Boeing for six 787 Dreamliners.
The airline said the Dreamliners will be used to expand its intercontinental network as demand for long-haul travel continues to grow.
Ethiopian currently operates Africa’s largest 787 Dreamliner fleet, using the aircraft on intercontinental routes from Addis Ababa to destinations across Europe, Asia and North America, as well as key intra-African routes.
United to introduce tiered fares for Polaris
United has announced plans to introduce tiered fares for its premium Polaris seats on its long-haul international flights within the next month.
United’s Polaris offering will be split into base, standard and flexible fares.
Customers who buy the standard or flexible fares in United Polaris on these flights will have access to the United Polaris Lounge. Customers who purchase the base option for United Polaris will still have access to the United Club.
