Arusha Airport starts 24-hour operations

Arusha Airport, located in northern Tanzania, has begun operating around the clock after the installation and inspection of a modern runway lighting system.

Where previously the airfield closed at 18h00 due to lack of lighting, the new system allows aircraft to land and take off safely after dark.

Extending operating hours will provide airlines with greater flexibility in scheduling flights. Arusha is a key entry point to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.
