Australia’s Minister for Health, Mark Butler, announced on September 8 that the mask mandate for international flights travelling to the country would be removed, according to Travel Weekly Australia.
The removal of the mask mandate on domestic flights, which was announced earlier, is also in effect.
Travellers had been required to wear a mask on all flights to and within Australia since January 2021. The Department of Health still advises the wearing of masks, despite it no longer being mandatory.
