Tourvest Destination Management (TDM), trading as Pure-Travel, is now the GSA for Drifters Adventure Tours in Africa, with immediate effect.

“We are very excited to introduce the Drifters product portfolio to the South African market. As we navigate COVID-19 times, we saw an opportunity to offer the South African client an incredible adventure; it will take them to the most unique locations, off-the-beaten-track, filled with unforgettable experiences… at very affordable South African rand rates,” said Illana Pereira, TDM md: sports & leisure.

Drifters, which offers adventure safaris throughout southern and East Africa – was founded in 1983.

“Drifters offers a selection of camping, accommodated trips and private tours that endeavour to show clients the most of what the continent has to offer, with a good balance between wildlife, culture, adventure and scenic beauty. With a proud history of conservation that spans three decades, our approach is to run tours in a safe and sustainable manner that is green to the core,” said Christiaan Steyn, Drifters gm. The unique and sustainable experiences the company affords its guests benefits the environment and local communities, he said.

Pure-Travel will feature the following itineraries for sale:

  • Kruger Park Accommodated Safari – 5 days
  • Wild Namibia Adventure Camping Safari – 11 days
  • Botswana Wildlife Safari Camping Tour – 9 days
  • Zimbabwe Explorer Camping Tour – 6 days
  • Kenya & Tanzania Wildlife Safari Camping Tour – 12 days
  • Uganda Wildlife Camping Safari with Gorilla Trekking – 13 days

With the addition of Drifters to the Pure-Travel portfolio, TDM has the ability to leverage 35 years of experience and expertise within these segments, said Illana.
