Cambodia, Vietnam open border crossing

Cambodia and Vietnam have opened the Khanh Binh-Chrey Thom international land border crossing, providing another gateway for travellers between the neighbouring countries.

According to TravelMole, the crossing links An Giang province in southern Vietnam with Cambodia’s Kandal province. Inaugurated earlier this month, it is expected to facilitate tourism, making it easier for visitors to combine the two countries in one itinerary.

The opening follows the launch of the Muen Chey-Tan Nam international border gate on December 8, 2025, connecting Cambodia’s Prey Veng province with Vietnam’s Tay Ninh province.
