Explora unveils N America excursions

Explora Journeys has revealed a collection of ‘Pre- and Post-Journey Destination Immersions’ for its Alaska and Western Canada cruises.

The new land excursions, ranging from three to five nights, feature rail trips, visits to natural wonders and cultural experiences.

The Alaskan excursions:

  • Pre-cruise, three-night Alaska Immersion: Guests will visit Denali National Park, explore the vibrant town of Talkeetna and the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog headquarters via deluxe dome rail and scenic motorcoach.
  • Pre-cruise, four-night Alaskan Adventure: The itinerary features two nights in Denali, a stop in Fairbanks and a visit to the glaciers near Girdwood.
  • Post-cruise, three-night Encounter Alaska’s Soul: Passengers will embark on dog-sledding adventures and Tundra Wilderness Tours, as well as a scenic rail journey to Anchorage.
  • Post-cruise, four-night Into the Alaskan Wilderness: This journey connects guests with wildlife conservation, sled dog culture, and Denali National Park, before concluding in the Arctic gateway of Fairbanks.

The Canadian journeys include:

  • Pre-cruise, five-night Westbound from Calgary to Vancouver: The trip takes travellers to Calgary, Banff, Kamloops and Vancouver. Highlights include Banff National Park, glacial lakes, gondola rides over Sulphur Mountain and fine-dining experiences.
  • Post-cruise, five-night Eastbound from Vancouver to Calgary: Passengers are offered a scenic return trip to the Canadian Rockies. It also includes an exploration of Banff’s lakes and waterfalls, along with some time in Calgary.
